For those allergic to the dust this isn’t the place to be right now. This fine silty dust makes great base when it’s wet but when it’s dry it’s everywhere.

Sometimes you just have to revert to old tried and true techniques like divining or water witching. Watch the two copper rods cross as Bob crosses the water line we were looking for.
Many people don’t believe in this but we used it a few times today with great success. We have rods that you can all try sometime when you are here. Some people can and some people can’t.

The crew was very efficient in getting over 400 feet of trench dug, sand placed, cables strung, sand filled, posts in and trench back filled. A really good couple days of work. BC Hydro on site tomorrow to inspect two of the new power shacks and finalize the other three. The pace quickens…

Our engineer spent two days here this week finalizing some changes required by Interior Health so we have another load of parts on the way. Road bans were finally lifted today so we can bring more material on site.
Today we dug the power trench for Lots 31 – 43 and the cottage crew got two cottage foundations poured in between rain showers. We also had two helpers making sure there were no butt ends laying around. All in all a productive week without Terry who is resting at home.

As announced today non-essential travel restrictions remain in place but travel within your region is allowed. We are currently working to have water restored to lots phase one Lots 1 – 30 but need to fix a leak first. We think we have found it and hope to have this repaired by the weekend but are awaiting parts. Access will be restricted to your site and beach area only. As requested, anyone coming on site for any reason must pre-register. Keep an eye on this site for updates.
In the meantime, take a look at this video of the new marina area which we’ll have seeded and greened up soon.

Wayne from Leo’s Electric prepares the cables that BC Hydro will hook up to their services once inspected.

We will be doing the final tie in of the previous water lines that feed 14 – 30. We are installing curb stops near the wash house which are valves that allow us to isolate certain parts of the resort if there is ever a water issue. This way we don’t have to shut everyone’s water off if we need to replace or repair one spot.
All three crews wrapped up for the weekend as we all prepare to re-think and re-group on Tuesday to move forward without Terry at the helm.
Thanks for all the well wishes which he sees and is grateful for. It's been hard to keep him out of work mode but we also need to pass on thanks to the crews for stepping up on all fronts. Forward and onward.
Terry is out of ICU and is now in the cardiac unit. He did have a mini stroke on Thursday (seems no long term damage at this point) and there was concern of more to come but they are getting his blood pressure and breathing under control. I speak with him every day and he's his typical sarcastic and humorous self. I'm sure the hospital staff have had a few laughs wondering how a guy in his shape holds that demeanor.
Our positive vibes continue to be sent his way.

Wash house and washrooms continue and we have all our fixtures. Just finishing the outside and we can move to the finishings inside.
